Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Loopr, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. These terms form a binding agreement between you and Loopr.
Eligibility
You must be at least 21 years old to use Loopr. Running with people you've met online involves real physical risk, and we require that judgment to be an adult's to make. If you provide false information about your age, your account will be permanently removed and you may not re-register.
You must also have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract and must not be prohibited from using the service under applicable law.
How the Service Works
Loopr helps runners find compatible running partners. You create a profile with your pace, availability, location, and goals. We show you profiles of nearby runners who match your preferences. If both of you express interest, we connect you via in-app chat so you can coordinate a run.
We don't organize or schedule runs ourselves—we make the introduction. What happens after is between you and your running partner.
Physical Safety
Running is physical. Running with someone you've just met online involves risk that no app can eliminate. You take responsibility for your own safety. We strongly encourage you to:
Loopr does not verify identities, fitness levels, background history, or any other representations users make about themselves. We are not liable for injuries, incidents, or outcomes that occur during or after runs arranged through the app.
Location Data
Loopr uses your device's location to find runners near you. Other users see approximate proximity (e.g., “0.4 miles away”)—not your exact coordinates. You can turn off location permissions in your device settings, but the core matching features won't work without them. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how location data is handled.
User Conduct
Loopr is a community built on trust. You agree not to:
Violations may result in temporary suspension or permanent removal from the platform, without refund of any subscription fees.
Run Coordination
When you agree to run with someone through the app, that agreement is between you and the other runner. Loopr is not a party to it. We don't guarantee that any run will happen, that your partner will show up, or that the experience will match expectations. Last-minute cancellations and no-shows happen—please handle them respectfully.
Ratings
After a completed run, you may have the option to rate your partner. Ratings are anonymous and are used to surface reliable, considerate runners and to remove users who consistently behave badly. Submitting false or retaliatory ratings violates these terms and may result in account removal.
Premium Subscriptions
Some Loopr features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis and auto-renew until canceled. You can manage or cancel your subscription through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). We don't process subscription billing directly.
We don't offer refunds for partial billing periods. If subscription prices change, we'll notify you at least 30 days in advance.
Intellectual Property
Loopr—including the app, design, code, and brand—is our property. Your profile content (photos, bio, preferences) belongs to you. By adding it to Loopr, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it within the app for the purpose of running the service. You can revoke this license by deleting your account.
Don't use Loopr's name, logo, or branding without our written permission.
Disclaimers
Loopr is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee that:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Loopr's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $100 USD.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages—including loss of data, injury, or any outcome of a run arranged through the app—even if we were advised of the possibility.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled in the courts of Puerto Rico.
International Use
Loopr is designed for use within the United States. If you access the app from outside the US, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for complying with local laws. We make no representation that the service is appropriate or legally available in your jurisdiction.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we'll notify you via email or an in-app notice before the new terms take effect. Continuing to use Loopr after the effective date means you accept the updated terms. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before the change takes effect.
